The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), airstrikes have eliminated another top ranking Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Commander Kaka Lawan and others in the Nigeria’s Northeast of LakeChad.
Zagazola Makama, A Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad understand that Lawan along with others were killed in the week-long attack targeting the terrorists at Tumbum Gini in Abadam Local Government.
Lawan was the Commander of Hizba of the ISWAP in the Lake Chad.
The Intelligence Sources said that the offensives were conducted under “Operation Lake Sanity” joint operations involving the MNJTF troops from Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon, Chad and troops from Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK-Nigeria).
He said the operation also included the combined Air Task Forces of MNJTF and OPHK other security agencies and the Civilian Joint Taskforce.
The sources report that the surviving fighters had moved with wounded fighters to the axis of Tudun Nglewa and Tumbum Dila, located North of Daban Gajere in Kukawa Local government area.
