The University of Notre Dame in the United States of America(USA) has conferred 3,344 degrees in various disciplines to a number of students among the graduates some of the girls abducted by Boko Haram in GGSS Chibok in 2014.
An audience of more than 25,000 family members, friends, and graduates attended the graduation ceremony which was also to mark the 177th commencement ceremony of the University.
Earlier the University of Notre Dame of USA extended an invitation to Borno State Gov. Babagana Zulum, to attend the ceremony, a delegation that attended the graduation ceremony was led by Prof. Isa Marte, who represented the Governor at the graduation.
Isa was accompanied by Hajiya Dr Mairo Mandara, A Senior Aid of the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs.
Members of the delegation,parents friends and well wishers celebrated the graduation of the Chibok girls with ceremonial photographs.
