1. TROOPS ARRESTS 134, RESCUE 798 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS, KILL 86 AS 1,158 TERRORISTS SURRENDERED IN 3 WEEKS – DHQ.
The Defence Headquarters has said that about 134 Terrorists were arrested, 798 kidnapped victims rescued including 18 Children, 86 B'Haram/ISWAP and IPOB/ESN Terrorists were neutralized as 1,158 terrorists and their families comprising 164 men, 367 women and 627 children surrendered within three weeks as the troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Nigeria Police and other security agencies carried out series of operations on land, maritime and air operations across the various theatres of operation in the Country.
2. INSECURITY: NIGERIA TO DEPLOY DA-42 SURVEILLANCE AIRCRAFT, A109 TREKKER HELICOPTERS, OTHERS, SAYS MAGASHI.
The Minister of Defence, Major-General Bashir Magashi (rtd) has assured that in addition to the recent procurement of J-F17 Thunder multi-role aircraft and Super Tucano attack aircraft to enhance the capacity of the Air Force to tackle current security challenges in the country, the country is also expecting the delivery of the DA-42 surveillance aircraft, A109 Trekker helicopters and Beechcraft KA-360i aircraft.
3. COAS ASSURES OFFICERS AND SOLDIERS CONTINUOUS MORAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT.
Chief of Army staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, has assured officers and soldiers of Directorate of continuous morals and financial support for improved fitness training in the Nigerian Army. He made the statement at the first Edition of the Directorate of Army physical Trainings Army master and warrant Officers Workshop at the Depot Chindit Cantonment Zaria.
4. GENERAL IRABOR LAUDS IGP, NIGERIA POLICE FORCE FOR CREDIBLE PERFORMANCE RECORDED.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General LEO Irabor has pronounced and reaffirmed that IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has performed credibly during his one year in office as the 21st Indigenous Inspector-General of Police. According to CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Mnipr, Mipra, Force Relations Officer Force Public Headquarters Abuja in a press release said the Chief of Defence Staff, who made the declaration at the Police Force Headquarters, during his visit on Thursday, noted that the call was necessitated by the quest to escalate synergy between security agencies in Nigeria.
5. JUST IN: NAF GRADUATE 1,549 AIR FORCE RECRUITS, 49 BC CADETS.
The Nigerian Air Force Saturday graduated no fewer than 49 Branch Commission (BC) cadets and 1,549 recruits at the NAF Military Training Centre in Kaduna. Spye News reports that, 49 Branch Commission Cadets (BC 1/2022) & 1,549 Basic Military Training (BMTC) Course graduating recruits were today 30th April, 2022, marched on parade at the Military Training Centre parade ground at Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, for their passing out parade.
6. NIGERIAN TROOPS RECORD MORE SUCCESS AGAINST ISWAP TERRORISTS.
Gallant Troops of Operation Desert Sanity neutralized several ISWAP/BokoHaram terrorists including the Amir & spiritual head of Galta during an aggressive clearance operation around Manjo Ali Qere in Borno State. The incident took place on Thursday 28 April 2022. The troops also captured Arms & Ammunition from the fleeing terrorists according to the Nigerian Army Headquarters.
7. NIGERIAN MILITARY RECOVERS OVER 5 MILLION STOLEN LITRES OF CRUDE OIL, AGO IN N/DELTA- DHQ ,,,,,, As 1,158 terrorists surrender to troops in three weeks.
The Nigerian military has recorded more successes against the economic saboteurs and other criminal elements in the Niger Delta region in the renewed onslaught by the troops of Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS) in the past three weeks. The renewed offensives by the troops is coming sequel to the directives given by President Muhammadu Buhari that the Nigerian military and other security agencies should go after illegal refineries and the oil thieves in the Niger Delta region.
8. FOC WESTERN NAVAL COMMAND VISITS NA ENGINEERS CORPS HEADQUARTERS, SOLICITS FOR CONTINOUS COOPERATION.

In a sustained offensive against terrorists, the Nigerian Army Special Forces troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed scores of Boko Haram and the Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists as its raided 13 camps of the terrorists in the fringes of Sambisa Forest in the North East of Borno state.
12. NIGERIAN ARMY DEPLOYS 205 TROOPS TO GAMBIA ON PEACEKEEPING MISSION.
The Nigerian Army has sent a contingent of 205 troops to The Gambia on a peacekeeping mission. This is just as it assured of Nigeria’s commitment to deploying quality peacekeepers as part of efforts to ensure global peace and security. Speaking at the pre-deployment graduation ceremony of the Nigerian Company 7 to the ECOWAS mission at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State yesterday, the chief of operations, army headquarters, Major-General Olufemi Akinjobi, said Nigeria had successfully participated in 40 peacekeeping missions and deployed over 100,000 peacekeepers since 1960.
13. TROOPS REPEL ATTACK ON NIGERIAN PETROLEUM PRODUCT COMPANY DEPOT IN DIFFA, ARREST TERRORISTS LOGISTICS SUPPLIER.
The Defence Headquarters says, troops of Operation Hadin Kai sighted Islamic State of West Africa Province fighters on 5 Guntrucks attempting to attack Nigerian Petroleum Product Company Depot in Diffa near Nigeria/Niger border. Major General Benard Onyeuko, Director Defence Media Operations made this known on Thursday during its bi-weekly briefing on operational activities of the Armed Forces of Nigeria in 3 weeks.
14. PARTICIPANTS OF ARMY WAR COLLEGE TOUR MILITARY STRATEGIC ESTABLISENTS IN NIGERIA’S CAPITAL.
The Commandant, Army War College Nigeria (AWCN), Major General Bamidele Alli Alabi, has led participants of the College on a 2-Day tour of military strategic establishments in Abuja, as part of the National Security and Organisation of Defence Module for Course 6/2022. The tour commenced with a visit to the Defence Headquarters Joint Operations Centre, thereafter visited the Nigerian Army Operations Centre, the Naval Headquarters as well as Headquarters Nigerian Air Force.
15. NIGERIAN ARMY FLAGS OFF TREE PLANTING EXERCISE IN MAIMALARI MILITARY CANTONMENT, MAIDUGURI.
As part of her efforts to improve on the quality of natural surrounding in the barrack community and promote climate amelioration, 7 Division Nigerian Army has today, 30 April, 2022 conducted a Tree Planting Exercise which was flagged off by the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force (JTF)North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Waidi Shaibu.
16. SALLAH: NIGERIA SECURITY, CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS DEPLOYS 20,000 PERSONNEL.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 20,000 personnel to neutralize the activities of criminals during the Eid-al-Fitr celebration and beyond. he NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi disclosed to Journalists in Abuja, the nation’s capital that an order has been given to all State Commandants and Zonal Commanders to put to effective use all personnel during the period to curtail their excesses.
17. POLICE DEPLOY 6, 000 PERSONNEL FOR A HITCH-FREE EID-ELFITR IN BORNO.
The Borno State Police Command has deployed 6,000 personnel for a hitch-free Sallah slated for next week. The deployment followed terrorists’ threats of targeting soft spots in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), Bama and Konduga councils of the state. Announcing the deployment, yesterday (Thursday), in Maiduguri, the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Sani Shatambaya disclosed that the terrorists threatened to bomb soft spots during Sallah festivities.

In efforts to keep Delta State safe, officials of the State’s Police Command Crack Squad have arrested three suspected drug dealers in Ogwuash-Uku area of the State. Operatives attached to safer highway patrol also arrested two suspected armed robbers in Sapele. This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, Asaba, DSP Bright Edafe, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA).
19. CULTISTS DISRUPT SOLUDO’S MEETING, ATTACK ANAMBRA RIGHTS ACTIVIST.
Suspected cultists wielding guns and other dangerous weapons disrupted a meeting that was scheduled to be held between the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, and tricycle operators, on Thursday.
20. BANDITRY: ZAMFARA STATE GOVERNMENT DRAGS DEPOSED EMIRS TO COURT.
Zamfara State Government has arraigned the two deposed Emirs at the state’s Chief Magistrate Court. The two monarchs have been arraigned on a five-count charge that borders on criminal conspiracy, withholding of evidence, illegal possession of property and alliance with bandits. They were arraigned at the Zamfara State Chief Magistrate Court 1 where the presiding judge, Saadu Garba heard the charges.
20. BANDITS KIDNAP CHIEF OF RIJANA, AYUBA DAKOLO, IN KADUNA.
Chief Ayuba Dakolo Ayuba of Rijana Town in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been kidnapped by bandits on his farm. Rijana is a town along the Abuja – Kaduna Expressway, it has a railway station and it is not far from where bandits bombed and kidnapped passengers recently. According to a source who prefers anonymity, Chief Ayuba was kidnapped on Thursday morning when he went to check his farm outside the town. The source said the news of Ayuba’s kidnap was broken in the town in the afternoon. The source also said that the people have noticed the arrival of many armed men around the bushes in the town and surrounding towns.
