COAS Charges Passing Out Road Safety Cadets on Professionalism

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has charged Cadets of Marshal Inspectors Basic Course 2021/2022 to maintain disciple and a high level of proffessional conduct in the discharge of their duties.

General Yahaya gave the charge recently at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, during the passing out parade of 550 Marshal Inspectors Basic Course.

The COAS, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the event, was represented by the Commander, Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army, Major General Stevenson Olabanji, who charged the graduating inspectors to demonstrate the expected level of professionalism and Regimental decorum in their conducts and service delivery throughout their career.

 COAS explained that the Federal Road Safety Corps, since its inception, have always enjoyed the support and undiluted cooperation of the Nigerian Army, which attracted his approval for the use of Nigerian Army Training Centre facilities for the training of Marshal Inspectors Basic Course.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Camp Commandant, Deputy Corps Commander Felix Theman, explained that the rigorous training covered physical fitness, sports, drill, obstacles and endurance training to build the needed capacity for resilience.

  


The Camp Commandant also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, for his support in actualising the training.

DCC Theman thanked the Commander Nigerian Army Training Centre, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, as well as the staff of the Center for the training impact on the Cadets within six month course period.

In his speech, the Corps Marshal Federal Safety Corps, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, represented by Deputy Corps Marshal Shehu Zaki, stated that the six-month training of the Marshal Inspectors Basic Course is aimed at capacity building and improving service Delivery in the FRSC, calling on the passing out cadets to justify the confidence reposed on them by taking the Corps to a greater height.

The Corps Marshal thanked the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, for his continuous support stating that without which, the training would not have been possible.

Dr Boboye specially appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, for his unflinching cooperation and approval to use the Centre facilities.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion include His Royal Highness, Sarkin Sudan, represented by Alhaji Aminu Madawaki, representative of Commander Corps of Artillery, Brig Gen AT Adedoja, Director Conventional Warfare Exercise Directorate NATRAC, Brig Gen AA Adekoya, Head of Security agencies, Principal Staff officers of NATRAC, Provost Federal College of Education Kontagora, represented by Chairman Committee of Dean, Mr Salami Adekunle, as well as families and well-wishers of the passing out Cadets among others.
