The Nigerian Navy on Saturday Commissioned a motorised borehole built in Gandafura Community in Potiskum Local Government area of Yobe State.
The project was executed under the Nigerian Navy Civil-Military Cooperation project for the benefit of humanity.
Speaking at the commisioning of the project, Director Civil-Military Cooperation Naval Headquarters, Commodore Suleman Dahun who represents the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo stressed the importance of the project to the community, noting that water was one of the most important God-given natural resources.
Dahun stated that they realised the security situation of the Northeast which according to him requires civil and military relationship for improved peaceful coexistence.
He, however, reiterated Nigerian Navy commitment to protect the lives and properties of people and dedicated to the improvement of the welfare of communities through the provisions of basic and social infrastructure.
