Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari led the celebration of the 61st independence anniversary at Eagle Square, Abuja today, Friday 1st October 2021.

Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo, former president Goodluck Jonathan, former head of state Abdulsalami Abubakar, Chief of justice of Nigeria (CJN) Tanko Muhammad,; Senate president Ahmad Lawan, and speaker, house of representatives,  Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Muhammed were among those in attendance.

All the service Chiefs were also in attendance.
