Against the October 1 Independence Day anniversary of the nation, Nigerian Army has alerted that heavy military equipment meant to be used during the celebration will be coming into the nation’s capity city, Abuja.
The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations Guards Brigade, Captain Godfrey Anebi Abakpa made the announcement on Monday saying that heavy military equipment will be moved to the FCT and its environs.
Abakpa in a statement said this was in preparations for Nigeria’s 61th Independence anniversary celebration where some activities are being planned towards its successful celebration.
He therefore urged the public not to panic at the sight of the equipment which will be used purposely for the parade celebrations.
