Millions of naira worth of goods inside the popular Mammy Market located at the Mogadishu Cantonment popularly known as Abacha Barracks in Abuja, were destroyed with fire early hour of Sunday April 4th 2021.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertain as at the time of filing this report. The fire started about 1am and the fire fighters arrived so late to quench the fire.
Men of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Fire Service and their counterparts from the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force(NAF), were on ground to put off the fire.
Already the military have deployed men of the Nigerian Army police, Navy, and Air police to maintain law and order.
Reports say, some of the traders arrived this morning to meet their shops burnt down. "Few shops were spared from the fire", a trader said
