The fight between Ruggedman and 9ice attracted the press and fans criticism over the years, and some paid and non-paid bloggers posted it without a deep knownlegde of what really transpired between the duo. The misunderstanding led to the end of his marriage with top entrepreneur and showbiz personality, Toni Payne.
Recently, Abolore Akande clocked 36 and while addressing pressmen, he seized the opportunity to confess and apologies to his dear friend and ex-wife. Read:
"Good day everyone.
Ladies and gentlemen of the fourth realm (Press) .
It is a pleasure to meet you once again after a long time.
Today is a special day to me as you all know. It is (MY
BIRTHDAY). The main objective am celebrating my birthday
with press is to appreciate your efforts in my musical
career. You have efficiently been there for me when I never
envisage I would go this far. When 9ice was nobody, you
made me to be somebody. You made this real!
I realize there have been vacuum between 9ice and press. I
don’t want to give any chance again. My rift with Rugged
man was due to the fact that there had been space between
me and you. Even with Tony Payne, that situation turned
press back at me. These two issues have really weaken me.
These people really invested spiritually and morally in that
brand-9ice.
9ice is matured now! I have family also. To err is human
but to forgive is divine. I’m using this platform to
apologize to my friend from another mother, Steven
Ikechukwu aka Ruggedman and others. Even press, if I
have offended you not to have access to me for a long
time. I think it was due to situations around me.
As 9ice starts another journey in politics and music, I still
