Super Eagles and Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi
Martins has become a citizen of the United States of
America.
Obafemi Martins is the highest paid African Player in the
money spinning American Major League Soccer league.
According to africanfootball.com, Martins obtained a green

Martins was designated as a US citizen when the roster
update for all the 20 MLS teams and listed Martins as a

However, MLS clubs are allowed to register eight foreign
nationals in their roasters.
