According to a report reaching our desk, the Association of Yoruba Movie Marketers have instructed its some movie distributors nationwide not to sell a new release from the stable od Integrity Productions.
A source told us that, the
Chairman the Association Alhaji Rasaq
Abdullah early Saturday banned distributors nationwide from selling the movie via this sms
"Pls note that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE
should any memba in ur State accept for
sales any Film not in our Film Release
Circular. Any memba caught in this act
will risk terminating our mutual
relationship. Thanks >yovifpmanGS"
Immediately the sms hit the phones and
integrity boss got wind of the messages,
he responded with this bbm
My attention has been drawn to series of
sms sent to some film distributors across
d country by d president and some
members of Yoruba Marketers association
(idumota/arena marketers) threatening
them (d distributors) not to sell any film
coming from d stable of Integrity
Productions. It’s obvious that they are
doing this to frustrate the successful
distribution and marketing of Sekunola
simply becos of d high demand for d
movie in d market. The same thing
happened wen we released B’ogiri O
Lanu. I’ve received series of telephone
calls asking me if Sekunola will still hit d
market on Monday. We are releasing
Sekunola on Monday 16th Nov, no going
back. Pls take note, we have d capacity
to sell our movies independently without
d involvement of anyone. Sekunola will be
available in all Integrity sales outlets from
Monday Nov 16, also our sales reps will
put on our uniform (orange & green)to
market it (road show). Go grab ur
copies…Sekunola is produced by Bukola
Fagbuyi, Directed by Muyiwa Ademola &
Bayo Tijani. Marketed and by Integrity
Productions and Marketing Ltd.
(rebroadcast pls)"
Nevertheless, Sekunola is billed to be in d market as from Monday 16th and according to some top distributors, Sekunola movie demand is on the high side and wont be toy with anything because they are in support of good movies and to encourge young producers in the industry.
integrity man must live up to his name.
