Hounsou was born in Cotonou, Bénin, to Albertine and Pierre Hounsou, a cook. He emigrated to Lyonin France at the age of thirteen with his brother, Edmond. Soon after arriving in France, Hounsou dropped out of school and became homeless for a time. A chance meeting with a photographer led to Hounsou being introduced to fashion designerThierry Mugler, who encouraged Hounsou to pursue a modeling career. In 1987, Hounsou became a model and established a career in Paris. He moved to the United States in 1990.
Mbryo, the Rugged Records act, Born Prince Maxwell Oghenemıne Omoferı to a father, who is a pastor, and a businesswoman mother, Mbryo is the first boy of seven children. He holds a Diploma in Mass Communication and believes his music would be great in the next five years.
The artiste has worked with other acts like Yung XP, Olamide, as well as producers such as D’tunes, Woyesound and Mr. Vine. Mbryo describes himself as an extreme optimist, football lover, Gemini and an absolute believer in God.
