President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with members of the BringBackOurGirls inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, security chiefs and other top government officials are joining the President to receive the team.
The group is being jointly led by Dr. Oby Ezekwesili; Mariam Uwais and Hadiza Bala-Usman.
Members of the delegation also include parents of some of the over 200 girls abducted in Chibok, Borno State last year.
The meeting started a few minutes after 12noon, with the arrival of the President and the Vice President
The meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and members of the #BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) campaign group has ended.
This was revealed via the group’s Twitter handle.
Buhari is also said to have acknowledged the previous lapses in the handling of the abduction.
“#BBOGEngagesPMB: Meeting with @NGRPresident over. Acknowledges previous lapses. Nothing concrete promised,”the tweet read.
BBOG secured a meeting with Buhari after convener, Oby Ezekwesili challenged him on the continued captivity of the missing girls.
