OLX and the Nineteens (Fraudsters) Should OLX be banned? MUST READ

Over the years, the online business in Nigeria is one of the fast growing trends and lotsof young people cant but move.with the new trends in town but Every online retailer will, at some point, be faced with fraud. It is as inevitable as taxes, but far more sinister!
OLX which simply means OnLine eXchange that operates as a classifieds marketplace for used goods.

The purpose for starting this online exchange since 2006 came to reality in 2012 when lots of Nigerians embraced the idea.
Yesterday i was with an award winning Actor and he nareated his experience with the OLX car dealers who asked him to pay half payment of the proposed goods but thank he didn't fell into the den of online fraudsters using OLX Platform. Lots of bad testimonies from people about OLX and yet, the adverts on the platform keep rolling and looking more attractive.
Sometimes ago, a committed reader of mine sent a mail to me to help him getvhis money back from OLX! This is quite funny because OLX is opened to ALL, that is, the genuine seller and the nineteens to transact business. This guy actually saw a Mobilephone for 25k which originally can go for 45k from the stores but because he was so happy to see it online for cheap price...this my reader sent 15k to aparticular account and he was waiting for the guy to send the phone. The culprit later called him to balance up, in order to get the phone, it was then that my reader (victim) contacted me to verify how authentic OLX sellers are and this time i just answered him "Sell it". (dont mind me).
Buying goods online has been bastardised in Ngetia, have they really earn the trust of Nigerians? SOme respectable online courier and sellers like Konga, ebay,Jumia etc are still struggling to earn Nigerians trust but the the nineteens wont allow that, they are everywhere.
The recent kidnap case that occurred in Surulere Lagos, involving the Orekoya's family who employed a nanny via OLX and less than 48hours that the nany resumed duty, she was allegedly disappeared with their three Children who now demanded a ransom of 15million naira is bringing this qustion on lips of Concerned Nigerians....Should OLX be banned/ scrapped?

OLX is a good platform o. I have done good businesses there. Its been stated there that you meet who you are transacting with in open place. We just need to be careful on how we make deals. Some deals are not good to make like the maid issue.
