News reaching us from Akure, Ondo State capital earlier
today, disclosed that the State Deputy Governor; Ali Olanusi,
has decamped the ruling party, PDP for the main opposition APC. The
development, coming at the eve of the Presidential election,
may alter political calculations in the state as Olanusi is
considered a major political force in the Akoko area of the
State where he hails from. President Goodluck Jonathan is
expected to clinch majority votes in the State. However, this
development has cast shadow on his possible victory.
