Akure Doctor’s Death: Late Dr Akintayo Oguntuase buried amidst tears in Ikole Ekiti+ His Throw-back Pictures

Late Dr Akintayo Oguntuase,
head of pediatrics at the Federal Medical
Centre, Owo, Ondo State, who was found
dead in his clinic in Akure after on was
razed by a mysterious fire in the eve of
Christmas has been buried.
He was buried in his home town Ikole Ekiti.
Late Dr Akintayo Oguntuase was born on January 6 and died on December 25, 2014.

It would be recalled that we reported how Universal Medical Clinic was in flames at
the midnight of December 24 when
residents of Araromi area of the city were
in a festive mood and by the time the
billows of the fire faded out in the
morning of December 25, the proprietor,
Oguntuase, was found burnt and
mutilated.
While the police in Ondo are still
examining the different theories that could
lead to unraveling the cause of the fire,
the deceased’s family has concluded that
the medical practitioner was killed by
assassins and burnt to give a semblance
of a fire accident.
At the time of his death,David was the Chairman,University of Benin Alumni Association,Ondo State Brqnch and also aember of the National council of UBTH Alumni Association.
At UBTH, David met the love of his life Ifeyinwa and hey got married in 1994. Their marriage was blessed with three lovely children Ifetayo (18yrs), Temitayo (15yrs) and Oluwatoyin (11yrs)
He maintained a quasi-philanthropic clinic-Universal medical Centre (UMC), Akurw where he was brutally murdered on the24/25 December 2014 while the clinic, together with his body were set ablaze in What clearly became a major inferno.
The family is greater that in his short life on earth, he impacted so many people positively and left memory that will forever be cherished.
He would be missed by his family and children, Medcal &Dental Consulatants' Association of Nigeria, Committee of Heads of Pharmacy in Federal Health Institutions, Nigerian Medical Association, Isaba Youth Forum, Association of Resident Doctors FMC, Owo, pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria Ondo State Branch and others.
