Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, has pulled out of the squad that will face Congo DR and South Africa, in the 2015 African Nations Cup qualifying matches this month.The Lille stopper, who said he was considering his international future after the World Cup this year, explained he was withdrawing for family reasons.
“I spoke to the coach and explained to him why I couldn’t make it,” Enyeama told ColinUdoh.com on Monday.
“I have some very pressing family issues to attend to at this time and it’s important for me to be there with my family at this time.”
Enyeama, who is expected to be named as Nigeria’s new captain, however says he will be available if he is needed in future.
