SAHEED BALOGUN WRITES AN OPEN LETTER TO COLLEGUES OVER NEW CHANGES IN THE INDUSTRY

2 Admin

Saidi Balogun Open Letter to colleagues: Forget about FAME, a whole lot of we practitioners are responsible for the cancerworm that has eaten deep into the movie industry, our fans are complaining and there is limit to human endurance.
Vast majority of those investing in movie productions available for our viewers for now are getting weaker and funds released for each production is declining whereby little or no importance is paid to quality. Film makers are now made to work under tensed and substandard condition, poverty in circulation and cheap or free labour is the order of the day. Does it have to be this way? Our veterans and senior colleagues are getting neglected, thrown into oblivion and to make matters worst, their roles are given to younger folks with the aid of disgusting make over.

The Movie Ambassadors considering these facts and hope of rebuilding and revival will embark on some excercise that will speak volume and restore professionalism, regularize the system such that it will attract multi-billion naira investments into our fold. Yes, It will happen.
This restructuring may however expose and seperate those directly responsible for these sorry situations we found ourselves, the framework soon to be introduced will offer all of us that SECOND CHANCE NO MATTER YOUR STATUS so that MOVIE WILL BEGIN TO PAY. It will be either A long or short walk to rebuilding, depending on our  individual and collective approach.
Please encourage me and my executives, committees, advisers, board of trustees in this quest. We will deliver and save the Nigerian Movie Industry from total collapse cos that is what we represent, YOU AND I ARE MOVIE AMBASSADORS and it begins with you. Thank you all. Saidi Balogun – President
