Mariah Carey planning secret album release
Mariah Carey is pulling a Beyoncé. The 44-year-old singer is readying her 14th album for release, and she's planning to drop is suddenly, she tells Billboard magazine.
A clue for fans? The album is named after "a personal possession of mine that's part of an entity that I've had almost all my life."
The album has been in the works since 2010, before she and husband Nick Cannon welcomed their twins Moroccan and Monroe.
Carey's tracklist is still under wraps, but she has a slew of collaborators for the album, including Wale, Nas and Trey Songz.
And there is another surprise in store, a "special guest star that I'm not allowed to reveal," she tells the magazine.
Carey also mentioned that she's not planning on retiring from music after her next album, despite a comment she made on "Watch What Happens Live" hinting that she may call it quits.
"I will always make music," she said. "When I said it could be my last, that's because tomorrow's not promised to anyone."
