Nigeria Union Of Journalist Ondo State Chapter Mourns Alex Of NTA

The Nigeria Union of Journalists has commiserated with the Akinwale family of Ondo over the death of Alex Akinwale and his family in an accident along Ondo-Akure road yesterday.
A delegation of the NUJ which included the National Deputy President, Rotimi Obamuwagun, the State Chairman, Akinfolayan Owanikin and the secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, visited the Akinwale family house in Ondo


 Speaking on behalf of NUJ, Mr Owanikin said the death of Alex Akinwale a great loss to the union and the journalism profession in the state as he was a thorough professional and an epitome of humility.
The union prayed  God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Receiving the NUJ delegation head of the Akinwale family, Mr Damilola Akinwale, said the death of Alex, his pregnant wife, a kid and a housemaid in the accident was a rude shock to the family.
Mr akinwale who said Alex had come to Ondo to attend the burial of his uncle on Friday and was returning to Akure when the ugly accident occurred, thanked the NUJ delegation for the visit and support for the family at this trying time.
Until his death, Alex was the Chairman of the NTA chapel of the NUJ while his wife was also a staff of the station.
