Keeping bees is a big fortune to me - Omotunde Adeyemi, Director, Ron Boarnergers Company, Ogbomoso

OMOTUNDE Adeyemi, the Director of Ron Boarnergers Company,a multi-faceted company with a farm located in Ogbomoso, developed keen interest in apiculture when he did the course at 400level, during his undergraduate days at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

The graduate of Agronomy added that the “noiselessness” of the business, coupled with the fact that one can do other things alongside the business, while it is not stressful or time consuming, endeared him to the business.

Adeyemi, who described beekeeping business as a virgin business in Nigeria ventured into the business eight years ago with N250,000 with about 50 hives and now, “I can confidently say that the business is quite financially rewarding. It is a good fortune for me.”

“Following my keen interest in agriculture, I’m not only into apiculture, I am also into farm establishment, maintenance and consulting. This makes many fondly consider me a complete agriculturist, while it also increases my fortune.

Adeyemi attended a lot of courses both professional and technical trainings on agriculture, exportation, entrepreneurship and business development, and had: trained many people the art of beekeeping; established and maintained farms for many, while also consulting for individuals and corporate farmers.
