For raping a 14-year-old primary school pupil in Ado-Ekiti, three men are cooling their heels at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ekiti State Police Command.The three suspects, Sunday Johnson (17) Oladipupo Kayode (24) and Jimoh Olorunsola (25), who are part of a five-member armed robbery gang, had, during an attack on a house at Odo Ado in the city about 10pm last Thursday, abducted the girl.
It was gathered that they took the girl to a primary school that night and raped her.
The suspects, who were paraded yesterday by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sotonye Wakama, were said to have dispossessed residents of the house of their valuables, including money and oth-er personnel effects.
Wakama said the police trailed the suspects to the crime scene, but found the girl abandoned in a pool of her blood after serially raping her.
He said his men later trailed the suspects to their hideout where they were arrested, adding that they were still on the lookout for the remaining two accomplices.
The police boss said two cutlasses, one knife and one DVD machine were recovered from them when their hideout was combed by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
