The Nigerian Army has commenced an Advanced Strategic Communications for Leadership, Operational Excellence and Resilience programme aimed at strengthening the communication capabilities of its Public Relations Officers (PROs).
The programme, holding at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), brings together Nigerian Army PROs for intensive sessions focused on strategic messaging, narrative management, media engagement and crisis communication.
The training is designed to enhance the ability of military communication officers to communicate with greater clarity, confidence, precision and authority, particularly in the complex and rapidly evolving information environment.
Day One featured practical and interactive sessions, with participants actively engaging in discussions, asking questions, sharing professional experiences and participating in practical exercises.
The organisers said the strong participation and enthusiasm demonstrated by the participants underscored the relevance of strategic communication to leadership, operational effectiveness and institutional resilience.
The programme is expected to further strengthen the capacity of Nigerian Army PROs to effectively communicate military operations, respond to emerging narratives and manage communication challenges in crisis situations.
The training also provides an opportunity for participants and facilitators to exchange experiences and deepen collaboration towards building stronger strategic communication capabilities within the Nigerian Army.
