The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has congratulated its former President, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, CON, OFR, mni (SEC 12, 1990), on the occasion of his 86th birthday, describing him as an exemplary leader whose life of service continues to inspire generations of Nigerians.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the National Publicity Secretary of AANI, Engr. Ifeanyi Jude Ngama, mni, the Association’s President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, on behalf of the National Executive Committee and members of the Association, paid glowing tribute to the elder statesman for his outstanding contributions to national development.
The statement noted that Prince Adelusi-Adeluyi, who was born into a royal family in Ado-Ekiti in 1940, built a distinguished career through dedication, integrity, and selfless service, rather than privilege. It described him as an accomplished pharmacist, business leader, administrator, former Minister of Health, and respected statesman whose impact has been felt across both the public and private sectors.
AANI also commended his tenure as President of the Association from 1999 to 2003, noting that his visionary leadership strengthened the organisation’s commitment to promoting good governance, national unity, strategic leadership, and sustainable national development.
According to the Association, Prince Adelusi-Adeluyi’s exemplary character, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to service remain a source of inspiration to AANI members and Nigerians at large.
While congratulating the elder statesman on attaining the milestone of 86 years, Ambassador Okafor prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him, wishing him good health, renewed strength, wisdom, and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria and humanity.
The Association reaffirmed its appreciation for Prince Adelusi-Adeluyi’s enduring legacy and wished him many more fruitful years in peace, fulfilment, and sound health.
