The President of the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA), Mrs. Ngozi Aneke, has charged the pioneer graduating students of NAFOWA Secondary School, Asokoro, Abuja, to uphold the values of integrity, excellence and leadership as they begin a new phase of their academic and personal lives.
Mrs. Aneke gave the charge during the maiden graduation ceremony of the school, describing the event as a historic milestone and the fulfilment of NAFOWA’s vision of providing quality, affordable and value-based education.
Addressing the graduating students as the Special Guest of Honour, she said the successful graduation of the pioneer class demonstrated that the school’s commitment to academic excellence, discipline, integrity and leadership was already producing positive results.
She urged the graduates to remain worthy ambassadors of their families, the institution, NAFOWA, the Nigerian Air Force and the nation by exemplifying the virtues of honesty, humility and excellence in all their future endeavours.
Mrs. Aneke also paid tribute to the former NAFOWA National President, Mrs. Elizabeth Amao, whose visionary leadership led to the establishment of the school, noting that the milestone would not have been possible without her foresight and dedication.
She encouraged younger students to emulate the achievements of the graduating class, reminding them that success is built on hard work, consistency and resilience.
The colourful ceremony attracted senior Nigerian Air Force officers, members of NAFOWA, parents and invited guests, who gathered to celebrate the school’s first graduating class and the remarkable progress made since its establishment.
The event featured the presentation of certificates and awards to outstanding students in recognition of their academic excellence and exemplary character.
In her vote of thanks, the Commandant of NAFOWA Secondary School, Flight Lieutenant Ngozi Ogbo, expressed appreciation to the NAFOWA President, members of the Association, parents, teachers and guests for their unwavering support towards the growth of the institution.
She commended the dedication of the teaching staff in nurturing the pioneer students and congratulated the graduates for making history as the school’s first alumni.
Flight Lieutenant Ogbo reaffirmed the school’s commitment to sustaining high standards of academic excellence, discipline and moral values as it continues to nurture future leaders for the nation.
