Fourth Evacuation Flight to Bring Home 270 Nigerians from South Africa Wednesday

The Federal Government has confirmed that the fourth evacuation flight under its ongoing repatriation programme for Nigerians in South Africa will airlift 270 returnees back to the country this week.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, an Air Peace aircraft assigned to the evacuation exercise will depart the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, for Johannesburg, South Africa.

The aircraft is scheduled to depart Johannesburg at 12:00 midnight with 270 Nigerian returnees on board.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the flight is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

The latest operation forms part of the Federal Government’s continued efforts to evacuate Nigerian nationals from South Africa and ensure their safe return home.
