Birnin Magaji Delegation Commends Zamfara CP, Police Leadership Over Anti-Banditry Successes

A delegation from Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara State has commended the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, for his leadership and the Command’s sustained successes in the fight against banditry across the state.

The delegation, led by Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim, made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Zamfara State Police Command Headquarters in Gusau.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, the visitors praised the Commissioner for his unwavering commitment to restoring peace and security, particularly highlighting recent operational achievements in Birnin Magaji and other parts of Zamfara State.

The delegation noted that the Command’s sustained operations against bandits have significantly improved public confidence and enhanced the security of lives and property in the affected communities.

They also applauded the strong working relationship between CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello and the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Aliyu Asbagu Muhammad, describing their collaboration as a key factor behind the Command’s operational successes and ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal elements from the state.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim paid tribute to DCP Aliyu Asbagu Muhammad, describing him as a proud son of Birnin Magaji and the first indigene of the local government area to attain the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Nigeria Police Force.

He said the officer’s achievements have brought pride to the people of Birnin Magaji and serve as an inspiration to young people aspiring to careers in public service.

Responding, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello expressed appreciation for the visit and the delegation’s confidence in the Command’s efforts. He reaffirmed the Police Command’s commitment to sustaining the ongoing offensive against banditry and other criminal activities across Zamfara State.

The Commissioner assured the delegation that the Command would continue to collaborate with other security agencies and members of the public to strengthen security and maintain lasting peace throughout the state.

He also urged residents to continue supporting the Police with timely and credible intelligence to enhance crime prevention and facilitate more effective security operations.
