Borno CP, GOC 7 Division Nigerian Army Strengthen Security Partnership in Maiduguri

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, Naziru Abdulmajid, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Command to enhanced inter-agency collaboration following a familiarization visit by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander, Sector 1, Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI, Solomon Simon Diwa.

The visit took place at the Borno State Police Command Headquarters in Maiduguri, where both security chiefs discussed strategies for strengthening cooperation in tackling security challenges across the state.


Speaking during the visit, Brigadier General Diwa described the engagement as part of the longstanding tradition of fostering cordial relationships among security agencies. 

He stressed the need for sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing, and coordinated operations to effectively address emerging security threats and consolidate gains recorded in the fight against insurgency and other criminal activities.

In his response, CP Abdulmajid welcomed the Army commander to Borno State and emphasized that effective collaboration among security stakeholders remains critical to maintaining peace and stability in the state.

The police commissioner noted that joint efforts by security agencies are essential for protecting lives and property, enhancing public confidence, and supporting ongoing initiatives aimed at restoring normalcy in communities affected by insecurity.

He further assured the GOC of the Command’s continued support and commitment to working closely with the military and other security agencies to improve operational effectiveness and ensure a safer environment for residents.

The meeting ended with both leaders expressing their determination to strengthen existing partnerships and maintain a unified approach toward promoting security, peace, and development across Borno State.
