Operation Enduring Peace Troops Arrest Suspected Vandal in Plateau, Recover Chain Saw

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested a suspected vandal in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.


Security sources said the suspect, identified as Mr. Nimnan Binfa, aged 42, was arrested at about 11:00 a.m. on May 3 by troops of Sector 3 OPEP while attempting to steal copper wires within the premises of the College of Accountancy, Kwall.


The sources disclosed that the suspect was apprehended during routine security surveillance of the area.


According to the sources, a chain saw was recovered from the suspect at the time of arrest.


They added that the suspect is currently in custody and undergoing further investigation.


The sources noted that the arrest underscores ongoing efforts by security agencies to curb vandalism and protect critical infrastructure in the area.
