Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have recorded significant operational successes against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, including the neutralisation of insurgents, arrest of suspects, and disruption of terrorist logistics networks across the North East.
The achievements were recorded during a series of offensive operations conducted between 31 March and 4 April 2026 across the theatre of Operation HADIN KAI.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued on Sunday by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba.
According to the statement, in one of the major breakthroughs, troops under Sector 2, deployed at Geidam, in collaboration with operatives of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), acted on credible intelligence to intercept suspected terrorist logistics suppliers near the area.
During the operation, troops engaged the suspects in a fierce encounter, resulting in the neutralisation of three terrorists while a vehicle loaded with logistics supplies was successfully disabled.
Items recovered from the scene included food supplies, mobile phones, and other materials believed to be intended for delivery to terrorist camps.
The military high command commended the troops for their resilience, vigilance, and professionalism, urging them to sustain the momentum in ongoing operations aimed at restoring peace and stability in the North East region.
It noted that the continued offensive is in line with efforts to safeguard both the security and economic interests of the region.
