Troops of Combat Team 3, Machika, working in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested four suspects during a joint raid in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was carried out at about 3:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2026, following credible intelligence on suspected illegal drug activities in villages located on the outskirts of Dandume town.
During the early morning raid, the combined security team apprehended four individuals who were allegedly found in possession of substances suspected to be illicit drugs.
The suspects, along with the recovered exhibits, have since been handed over to the NDLEA Area Command in Dandume for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug-related networks and curb other criminal activities within the area.
Security agencies also confirmed that further operations are ongoing in the locality to track down other suspected members of the network and strengthen law enforcement presence in the community.
