National Police Day Celebration Declared Open in Borno With Sanitation Exercise at Monday Market

Maiduguri — The Borno State Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Monday formally declared open the National Police Day celebration with a sanitation exercise held at the Main Gate of Monday Market, Maiduguri.

The event was officially flagged off by the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru AbdulMajid, who led the opening ceremony at the market entrance, where the environmental sanitation exercise commenced.

The exercise formed part of activities lined up to mark the National Police Day celebration in the state, reflecting the commitment of the police to community service, public engagement, and environmental cleanliness.

The sanitation exercise attracted the participation of police personnel and stakeholders, including members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Digital Team, who were also in attendance.

The event underscored the Borno State Police Command’s efforts to strengthen police-community relations through impactful civic activities beyond routine law enforcement duties.
