The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is set to arraign former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, before the Federal High Court in Kaduna over alleged corruption-related offences.
According to the anti-graft agency, El-Rufai and one Joel Adoga will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Kaduna Judicial Division, in a suit marked FHC/KD/73/2026.
The charges in the Federal High Court case reportedly include conversion and possession of public property, as well as money laundering.
In a related development, the ICPC disclosed that another charge, marked KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26, has also been filed against El-Rufai and one Amadu Sule (LEDA) before the Kaduna State High Court in the Kaduna Judicial Division.
According to the Commission, the charges in the State High Court case include abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage, among other allegations.
The ICPC stated that both cases were filed on March 18, 2026.
While the arraignment date for the Kaduna State High Court matter has not yet been fixed, the Commission said it will be communicated at the appropriate time as determined by the court.
The anti-corruption agency further disclosed that El-Rufai has been duly served with the charges.
Reaffirming its stance, the ICPC said it remains committed to due process and the rule of law in the prosecution of the cases.
