The 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) “Asaba 2026” has reached an exciting climax, with the Force Headquarters emerging as the overall leader in the medals table as at 2:00 pm on Friday, 21 February 2026.
According to the latest standings, the Force Headquarters is topping the chart with an impressive total of 235 medals, comprising 99 gold, 53 silver, and 73 bronze. The remarkable performance has positioned the team as the frontrunner in the highly competitive tournament.
Closely trailing is Zone 2 Lagos State, which has recorded a total of 231 medals, including 84 gold, 71 silver, and 76 bronze. The team has remained a strong contender throughout the competition, showcasing resilience and sportsmanship across various sporting events.
Meanwhile, Zone 9 Umuahia is currently in third place with a total of 89 medals, made up of 42 gold, 24 silver, and 23 bronze. The zone’s performance has also attracted commendation for discipline and competitive spirit.
The ongoing games have featured intense contests in athletics, team sports, and indoor events, reflecting the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to physical fitness, teamwork, and professional excellence.
The grand closing ceremony of BIPOGA Asaba 2026 is scheduled to take place later today at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, where winners and outstanding participants will be celebrated. The ceremony is expected to attract senior police officers, dignitaries, and sports enthusiasts from across the country.
