Katsina: CP Bello Shehu Receives PCRC State Executive Committee on Courtesy Visit

The Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, CP Bello Shehu, psc, fdc, MNIM, on Thursday, 11 December 2025, received the Vice Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Katsina State Chapter, Alhaji Aliyu Bala Daura (DEDA), who led members of the State Executive Committee on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters.

In his remarks, Alhaji Aliyu Bala Daura conveyed the apology of the PCRC State Chairman for his absence, explaining that he was unavoidably engaged in an official assignment. He further apologized for the delay in paying the courtesy visit since the Commissioner assumed office.

The PCRC Vice Chairman commended the Commissioner for his exemplary leadership, noting that Katsina State has witnessed improved calmness and stability due to the CP’s unwavering commitment and dedication to combating crime. He reaffirmed the PCRC’s role as a reliable partner in progress with the Nigeria Police Force and pledged the Committee’s continued support toward strengthening security across the state.

Alhaji Daura also briefed the Commissioner on preparations for the forthcoming visit of the PCRC National Chairman, scheduled for next week, which will include a courtesy visit to the Command. 

He assured the CP that the Committee would honour all invitations from the Police Command and remain active in all security-related engagements. Additionally, he commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for his consistent efforts in promoting peace and development in the state, urging him to sustain the momentum.

In his response, CP Bello Shehu expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the indispensable contributions of the PCRC to effective policing in Katsina State. 

He emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration, particularly in the area of intelligence gathering and information sharing, describing the PCRC as a vital stakeholder in community-oriented policing.

The Commissioner confirmed receipt of the letter from the PCRC National Chairman and assured the delegation of the Command’s full support toward the successful hosting of the National Chairman during his upcoming visit.

The courtesy visit was rounded off with a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
