As part of their official engagements, the new Service Chiefs on Monday, October 27, 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.

During the visit, they commended General Musa for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and invaluable contributions to national security. They also pledged to sustain the legacy of dedication and collaboration that characterized his tenure.

The new military leadership reiterated their commitment to building on the solid foundation laid by their predecessors, with a focus on enhancing joint operations, intelligence sharing, and welfare of personnel in defence of the nation’s sovereignty.

In addition, the newly appointed CAS, Air Vice Marshal Aneke, who pledged to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Nigerian Air Force, assured that the Service Chiefs would work collaboratively to consolidate gains in the ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry, and other forms of insecurity across the country.

The newly appointed Service Chiefs had earlier met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.

The meeting, which was their first official engagement with the Commander-in-Chief since their appointments, provided an avenue for the new military leaders to express their loyalty and reaffirm their commitment to advancing the President’s security agenda for a safer, more stable, and prosperous Nigeria.

Speaking during the meeting, the Service Chiefs assured President Tinubu of their collective readiness to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces and work in synergy to consolidate gains in the ongoing fight against terrorism, banditry, and other forms of insecurity across the country.
