President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday, decorated the newly confirmed Service Chiefs during a symbolic ceremony held inside the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
The brief but significant event followed the National Assembly’s confirmation of the nominees, marking the final stage in their formal assumption of duty.
Those decorated included the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abbas, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke.
The ceremony was witnessed by top government officials, senior military officers, and family members of the newly decorated service chiefs.
With the decoration, the service chiefs are now fully empowered to lead their respective services in line with President Tinubu’s security vision for the nation.
