The Nigerian Navy today holds a formal Handing and Taking Over Ceremony between the outgoing Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, and the incoming Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abbas. 

The event, ongoing today, Thursday, 30th October 2025, in the Admiral D. J. Ezeoba Hall, Naval Headquarters, Abuja, marks a significant moment of leadership transition, symbolizing continuity, discipline, and commitment to the Navy’s core values of honour, courage, and patriotism.
