The Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kaduna State, Mr. Hakeem Abiola, has paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Nigerian Army, and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Abubakar Sadiq Muhammed Wase, at the Division Headquarters in Kaduna.
According to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Shuaib Umar, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, the DSS Director congratulated the GOC on his appointment and emphasized the need for closer collaboration between the Service and the Nigerian Army.
He noted that the partnership would focus on addressing insurgency, banditry, and other security challenges within the Division’s Area of Responsibility (AOR).
In his remarks, the GOC reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to non-kinetic approaches in tackling insecurity. He stressed the importance of synergy with sister services, security agencies, and state authorities to ensure peace and security in Kaduna and beyond.
