As part of efforts to appreciate the sacrifices of Nigeria’s security personnel, the Thank You to Our Troops Campaign team paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
The visit was aimed at fostering unity and boosting the morale of officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force as well as other security agencies who risk their lives daily to protect citizens, uphold law and order, and safeguard the nation’s peace.
Speaking during the visit, the campaign team led, Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa, President DEPOWA emphasized that the initiative seeks to remind security operatives that their dedication and sacrifices do not go unnoticed.
“Behind every uniform is a family, a community, and a grateful nation standing firmly with you. This campaign is about expressing our collective gratitude and ensuring that our troops feel the unwavering support of the people they serve,” the team leader said.
The Thank You to Our Troops Campaign has been actively engaging security formations across the country, advocating for better welfare and recognition for personnel of the military, police, and other paramilitary agencies.
The team urged continued collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the bond between security agencies and the communities they serve, stressing that mutual trust and support are vital to tackling insecurity and fostering national unity.
In his remarks, IGP Egbetokun commended the campaign for its vision and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians with professionalism and dedication.
The courtesy visit marked another milestone in the campaign’s mission to celebrate and encourage frontline security officers.
