The 2025 Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Week in Ogun State ended on a high note on Saturday with a colourful grand finale held at the Ijebu Ode Grammar School Hall. The event, which drew a large turnout of members in uniform, was graced by the National PCRC Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Olaniyan.
In his address, Alhaji Olaniyan commended the state’s “second to none” initiatives and charged members to continue supporting the Samson Kunle Popoola-led administration to maintain Ogun’s number one position in the country. The State Chairman, Ven. Dr. Popoola JP, earlier delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of unity and love in community engagement.
The celebration featured goodwill messages from divisional police officers, the TRACE Commander, and the Chairman of the Ijebu Area Command. Honours were conferred on outstanding members, including 38 individuals recognized for their contributions.
The Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Dare Alebiosu, was decorated as a State PCRC Patron, while Ijebu Ode Area Command clinched the “Best Area Command” trophy.
Entertainment, music, and dancing added colour to the occasion, with notable attendees including the State PPRO and General Secretary, CSP Omolola Odutola, and National Vice Chairman (South West), Prince Sunny Yemi Adenowo. The week-long activities also featured a youth road walk, seminar, and participation by the POWA Chairperson, Rev. Mrs. Olubusola Lanre Ogunlowo.
