The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) have renewed their commitment to deepening defence cooperation in areas of technology, training, fleet maintenance, and joint development projects.
This follows a high-level visit to the NAF Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, 26 August 2025, by a Pakistani delegation led by Chairman, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (CPAC), Air Vice Marshal Hakim Raza.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), the NAF Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Iboro Etukudo, highlighted the enduring relationship between the two forces.
He described it as a partnership built on mutual trust and collaboration, noting that strategic cooperation remains central to the CAS’s vision of transforming the NAF into a more agile and resilient force.
The Pakistani team, which included Deputy Chief of Air Staff Operations, AVM Aurang Zeb, and the Defence Attaché to Nigeria, Colonel Kamran Mushtab, discussed opportunities for enhanced collaboration that would boost operational capacity and support regional security.
The visit, according to the NAF, aligns with the CAS’s Command Philosophy of prioritising research and development, leveraging advanced technology, and fostering strategic partnerships to meet evolving national security challenges
