FOC NAVTRAC Rear Admiral RO Obey Begins Tour to Evaluate and Enhance Operational Readiness

 

The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command (FOC NAVTRAC), Rear Admiral RO Obey has commenced a familiarisation tour of units under his command. The purpose of the tour is to enable the FOC conduct on-the-spot assessments of facilities, training activities, and personnel, with a view to facilitating timely intervention where necessary.

The units visited were: Nigerian Naval College, Ebubu, Eleme, Rivers State, Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, Onne, Rivers State, Naval Medical Centre, Onne, Rivers State and, Nigerian Navy Hydrographic School, Borokiri, Rivers State.

During the tour, the FOC NAVTRAC is expected to engage with commanding officers and trainees to gain firsthand insight into the challenges and achievements of each unit. 

This initiative underscores the Navy’s commitment to maintaining high standards in training and operational readiness.

The tour also aims to foster closer relationships between the Command Headquarters and subordinate units, ensuring a cohesive approach to training and capacity building across the Navy.
