IGP Egbetokun Activates Police Mechanic Workshop, Tactical Operational Assets in Abuja

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has commissioned a state-of-the-art Police Mechanical Workshop equipped with cutting-edge facilities and technology. 

The commissioning of the support unit took place today, June 19th 2025, at Dei-Dei, Abuja to maintain operational readiness of all tactical and operational vehicles, minimising downtime and ensuring mobility during critical operations.

The IGP also commissioned 40 tactical and operational vehicles, including anti-riot water cannon trucks, and Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), at the Force Headquarters Abuja, further augmenting the arsenal of the Force, boosting its operational efficiency.

These two significant inaugurations are vital to ensuring that officers of the Nigeria Police Force are adequately equipped and prepared to confront security challenges, enhancing their effectiveness in serving and protecting the public.

This is a critical support unit of the Force which ensures the optimal working condition of operational vehicles, enabling timely responses to emergencies and effective police operations. 

The Inspector-General of Police, while reassuring members of the public that the Police Force remains committed to responding effectively to any and all security threats, warns all individuals and groups threatening the peace and tranquillity of the country that the Nigeria Police Force is coming for them and will proactively, strategically, swiftly and without hesitation run them out of town.
