Police Handover 17 Rescued Kidnapped Victim to Niger State Gov't

The Niger State Government receives the seventeen (17) kidnapped victims rescued in Kaduna State, who were abducted on 3rd March, 2025 at Loto Village, via Kuchi Sarkin-Pawa, Niger State 

The rescued victims were received by the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Com. Yakubu Garba with other State Government functionaries at the State Police Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura Minna on 11th April, 2025.

SpyeTV News reports that the 17 kidnapped victims who were abducted in Sarkin Pawa Niger State, were rescued by the operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit on 9th April 2025, in conjunction with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), after spending 5 weeks 2 days at the captivity.

The oldest is 35 years old, while the youngest is a year old baby.

It was reported that all rescued individuals were promptly taken to the Police Clinic in Kaduna for medical examination and have been certified to be in stable and sound health.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejob in force Public Relation on Officer said the rescued operation, notably achieved through a non-kinetic approach, is evidence to the commitment of the IGP to leveraging intelligence-led policing and inter-agency synergy to address security challenges.

The rescued victims include: Williams Ubadia (15yrs), Samuel Ezekiel (15yrs), Duza Ezekiel (13yrs), Ishaku Ishaya (12yrs), Sunday Ezekiel (8yrs), Jessy Friday (6yrs), Rebecca Ezekiel (32yrs), Jummai Ishaya (32yrs), Terriza Friday (30yrs), Alice Ezekiel (35yrs), Victoria Ishaya (32yrs), Blessing Ezekiel (20yrs), Gloria Ubadia (13yrs), Gift Ubadia (10yrs), Charity Ezekiel (9yrs), Alheri Ishaya (5yrs), and Favour Ezekiel (1yr old)
