81 Division of Nigerian Army Extols Late COAS Lagbaja’s Virtue, Opens Condolence Register in his Honour

81 Division of the Nigerian Army, where the late Chief of Army Staff, LT. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, once served as Staff Officer, has opened a condolence register in his honour.

A statement issued by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division, LT. Colonel Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni, disclosed that the register has been opened at 3, Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos, Headquarters of the 81 Division.

The statement reads thus: “On behalf of the General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army (NA), I will like to inform members of the general public, friends and acquaintances that a condolence register has been opened in honour of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja at the Headquarters 81 Division NA, 3 Kofo Abayomi, VI, Lagos.

“It would be recalled that in the course of his unblemished career and selfless service to the nation, late Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, on different occasions, meritoriously served as a Staff Officer at the HQ of 81 Division and also as Commander, 9 Brigade, Nigerian Army”.

According to the statement, Lagbaja left unforgettable landmarks at the 81 Divisional Headquarters. “You are all welcome to pay your last respect to the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja”, the statement concluded.
