"No Ransom Paid, 20 Kidnapped Medical Students, Other Victims Rescued Tactically and Professionally" - Police Affirm

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the release of 20 abducted medical students and other kidnapped hostages  Ntunkon forest, Benue State without paying a ransom.

Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed in a press statememt on Saturday that the rescue mission took place on Friday 23rd August 2024.

ACP Adejobi noted that they were rescued without any ransom paid. "Contrary to some tweets and unconfirmed stories that some money was paid, no kobo was paid to release them."

"They were actually rescued tactically and professionally. 

The Nigeria Police Force commended the security agencies, locals, and ONSA for their commitment and resilience.
