Yoruba Nation advocate, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, and the Leader of the umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Prof. Banji Akintoye, have denied involvement in the recent invasion of the Oyo State government Secretariat by armed men suspected to be Yoruba Nation agitatoros.

Chief Adeyemo has refuted any involvement in the incident, which saw armed men donning army camouflage hoisting the Yoruba Nation flag and various accessories.

The invasion, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, witnessed an attempt to take over the Governor's office and the House of Assembly complex. However, the joint efforts of the Nigerian Police, Civil Defence, Operation Burst, and Amotekun successfully repelled the invaders.

He urges Governor Seyi Makinde to conduct a comprehensive probe to understand the motive behind the invasion and ensure the arrest and prosecution of those involved. Igboho emphasizes his unwavering commitment to the peace and security of the Yorubaland, assuring that he will not support any disturbance to the region's harmony.
