The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, has refuted media report that a 23-year-old Ayomide Olubodun, participated in its Senior Executive Course (SEC).
Prof. Sola Adeyanju, Head, Public Affairs Department of the institute in a press statement on Monday in Jos said that Olubodun, an indigene of Oyo State only attended one of its short courses, which lasted for one month.
Adeyanju said, “The headline of the story is misleading, as it did not differentiate between the short course and the flagship SEC in the Institute.”
Adeyanju added that there is only one united Alumni Association of the National Institute, adding that participants of the short courses do not belong to it.
He advised the media to take note of the difference between the short courses and the SEC in the Institute in their future stories.
He added: “Participants of the short courses at NIPSS are also advised to be mindful of how they use the media on stories concerning the Institute.
“All distinguished AANI members are also advised not to be bothered about the misleading story.”
