The Chairman, of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu has again showered encomium on members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for being the most consistent and hardworking Election Proceeding Officers INEC has ever produced.
Professor Yakubu said this when corps members received the INEC boss, formed an honour guard to acknowledge their loyal fan and admirer, INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, outside the venue of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security meeting, located in the INEC Imo State Office premises, despite the intermittent drizzle.
The security meeting was held as part of final preparations for the Imo State Governorship election scheduled for Saturday 11th November 2023.
Professor Yakubu described them as the most educated, hardworking, consistent and patriotic election duty staff that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) can ever have and pray for.
He had also variously declared that the Commission cannot conduct elections in Nigeria without them.
